Summer Heats and Refrigerants – A Cool New Revenue Stream

Ever wondered how the summer heat affects your refrigerant? To understand what happens, let’s take a look at a refrigeration system and how it keeps things cool.

The purpose of a refrigeration system is to move heat from an area where it is not desired and dispose of it where it doesn’t matter. Refrigeration systems, whether commercial, industrial or domestic, are designed for certain temperatures. The interior of the space, product load, container construction and any other heat sources basically determine the amount of refrigerant required to satisfy to the cooling needs.

At the intended outdoor temperature, the condenser will be able to condense the required amount of refrigerant at the same speed as the evaporator is boiling the liquid and the compressor is pumping the gas. As the outdoor ambient temperature to the condenser changes, the system tries to rebalance itself. If the temperature rises, the condenser pressure tends to rise as well. This pressure change has to be overcome by the compressor. The compressor works harder—drawing more current as well as getting hotter. The higher pressure will also have a higher liquid temperature. As the liquid boils in the evaporator, there is less effective refrigeration done because of added heat from the liquid being warmer than design. There’s more energy required at higher temperatures.

In short: hotter refrigerant, harder working components, and higher energy bills. Your refrigerant is going to be working overtime to keep you cool, and can result in degradation of its ability to transport heat, as well as possible dirt and contamination from broken or overworked parts.

But hold on, it’s not all bad. We can say that because we have two programs that are great for any business that deals with refrigerants: the Buy Back Program and the Clean Exchange Program.

The Clean Exchange Program

Do you have old, dilapidated refrigerant cylinders lying around? We think that Refrigerant Services LLC’s Clean Exchange Program could be what you need.

The primary feature of the Clean Exchange Program is that we’ll take your expired or otherwise outdated refrigerant cylinders and give you back clean, fully-certified, and EPA-compliant cylinders. We accept any kinds of cylinders, whether or not they’re full.

Our team of highly skilled, expertly trained technicians is qualified to recover all sorts of refrigerants. We’re ready to take care of all the steps required (which can only be performed by licensed technicians). Extraction, collection and disposal of harmful refrigerants are all just one call or email away – just get in touch with us and schedule a date for us to pick up your old or expired refrigerants.

The Buy Back Program

For our Buy Back Program, we recover used, contaminated, or even burnt refrigerant. Not only that – we’ll even pay you for whatever we can recover! With this program we give you several options: we either give you back good-as-new refrigerants, buy it from you, and last but not least, we can exchange your used refrigerants for EPA-compliant and environmentally safe types of refrigerants.

When recovering your refrigerants, we make sure to squeeze every last bit of remaining refrigerant while removing contaminants which may still be present in them. This is our way of making sure that you get the highest value for your refrigerants.

The feature that will interest you the most about these two programs is that we can actually help you make money: we’ll pay you for refrigerants that were otherwise going to just sit in your cylinders or go to waste in your HVAC system. This is exactly the kind of unutilized asset that you don’t want!

Not only will we pay you for these refrigerants, we’ll do the work as quickly as cleanly as you would expect from seasoned professionals. We understand that you don’t want any interruptions or disruptions in your workflow. That’s why we make the process so simple and hassle-free.

There you have it, two possible revenue streams to keep your business from sweating this summer. If your business uses refrigerants and has old, used, or dirty refrigerants going unused, we can help! You might be surprised at just how much we can give you for it – and you’ll have the knowledge that your actions are, in a way, helping create a cleaner, greener future. All you have to do is pick up the phone and give us a call at 844-PURECFC (787-3232). If you don’t have time for a lengthy phone call to discuss how we can assist you, we also have an online contact form that you can fill out – we’ll get in touch with you at a more convenient time.
